I’m a designer and maker at heart. After studying design, I started making one-off pieces in a workshop on my uncle’s farm, combining a forge with a love for creative welding. That evolved into fitting out shop interiors, then furniture, and eventually furnishing restaurants and hotels.

Founder of MDesign, Geoff MackintoshFrom the farm to seven years in China and travel across 50 countries, I’ve spent over 20 years in the design, packaging, and manufacturing of products. I work with the resources around me and focus on how and where things are made.
Every project starts with figuring out how to make something work better, last longer, and feel right. If a product feels simple to use, that usually means a lot of thought has gone into it. I’m big on materials and finish because small details are what separate a good product from a great one.
Bullet Cup originated from identifying a gap in the reusable cup market. There were plenty of reusable cups available, but I felt many of them weren’t genuinely well made. They looked good, but the quality, balance, or finish was absent.
That drove me to develop a cup that people enjoy using every day. Something solid, refined, and constructed with quality in mind. Every Bullet Cup is carefully considered, from the proportions and weight to how it feels in your hand and holds up over time.
I wanted to honour my belief in preservation of the environment, so sustainability was built in. It’s about material choice, manufacturing quality, and the full life of the product. If a product is well designed and well made, it lasts. That is sustainability in its most honest form. Good design should respect the materials, the people who make it, and the people who use it.
